Standard Article is a company born from our fascination with the mid 20th century. From the music, the literature, the vehicles, and even early hifi, any bit of research done on these subjects has been accompanied by photos of people adorned in clothing that is timeless, elegant, and still somehow utilitarian. For the longest time, we have gone in and out of trying to emulate fashions from these decades, or at least elements from them, but have often ended up abandoning the endeavor because of the overwhelming time investment, bewildering cost and/or finding out that a piece was produced unethically or poorly.

We hope to bring back these iconic pieces sourced from companies that value their workers, their craft and their materials. All the while keeping the price point approachable. Utilitarian pieces are meant to be utilized.
